Ian Bilbley has been a favorite illustrator of mine for a while, but I have not had the opportunity to work with him. If any of you have, please let me know how it was!
You can find his information here http://www.centralillustration.com/usa/ib/ib.php
One last Fiep Westendorp illustration sampling! These were from Pluk van de petteflet, another book she produced with Annie M.G. Schmidt.
Some more excellent illustrations from Fiep Westendorp. These were from Floddertje, another book she produced with Annie M.G. Schmidt.
I had the pleasure of working with Stanley Chow on a project a few months ago. Some of his illustrations are attached here and available on his website http://www.centralillustration.com/sc/sc.php
Fiep Westendorp was a Dutch illustrator who often worked with writer Annie M.G. Schmidt. Together they made a series of books (and characters) that were well known to many generations of Dutch children – including myself. I’ve included some images of the Jip en Janneke characters, and hope to showcase other characters in later posts.
Brings back memories!
Deanna Halsall is a UK based illustrator I recently discovered. I found these links here http://www.thisistoy.com/illustrators/view/deanna-halsall. I love the incorporation of this colorful illustration in the office space, a really nice way to make a big visual impact.
